As of May, 2026, we’re on Vancouver Island, Canada, to obtain visas to spend the last half of the year in France on our Dutch barge, and for family events. In June, we head to England so Howard can be certified as a captain, then finally to the barge where we’ll spend the rest of the year learning the ins and outs of living on the French canals, navigating the locks, and preparing for a 2027 trip across Germany and perhaps into Poland on the inland waterways of Europe.
